Are you reliable (we mean extremely reliable), hard-working, and professional—and down to get a little silly with a kitten and a ball of yarn? Are you able to multitask and work independently—but enjoy a snuggle or two with some furry friends? Do you have experience handling animals or an eagerness to learn? Live in Brooklyn?
Then you’re just who we’re looking for—and we’re hiring!
We’re a small but growing company in Brooklyn that specializes in in-home cat sitting, and we’re looking for a few reliable cat sitters to join our team. Learn more about us or check out our client’s rave reviews.
The basics:
Our cat sitters visit our clients’ homes for 30+ minute visits once or twice a day while the client is away. In addition to feeding and providing water for our client’s cat(s), our sitters give enrichment and attention (like play, brushing, and petting), administer any necessary medication, maintain a clean litterbox, bring in the mail and perform other basic household tasks, and give daily updates to our clients.
We expect our sitters to be able to identify situations in which a cat’s behavior or health needs immediate attention and to communicate regularly with us about scheduling and client or cat issues. This job can get messy, but it’s definitely never boring!
The workload varies; some weeks might be full-time hours and some weeks will be slower, for an average of about 20 hours per week. You’ll be an independent contractor, and you’ll be paid based on the number of visits you complete each week.

Is hard-working and able to self-direct and multitask
Is super organized and detail-oriented
Has a flexible schedule of weekdays and weekends, both mornings and evenings
