Brooklyn Cat Sitting Policies
Payment is due on or before the first date of service. For new clients and federal holiday reservations, payment is due at the time of booking. We accept cash, checks made out to Brooklyn Cat Sitting, Inc., and Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express. Outstanding balances will be subject to a $25 fee. Subsequent booking requests will not be confirmed until outstanding balances have been paid in full. There will be a $45 charge for any returned check.
We understand your plans may change, and we do not charge for cancellations with adequate notice. During non-holiday periods, cancellations must be received with 48 hours notice; cancellations received less than 48 hours in advance will be responsible for a charge equal to one visit. During federal holiday periods, changes or cancellations must be received with 7 days notice; changes or cancellations made less than 7 days in advance will incur a charge equal to 50% of the originally scheduled service. No credits will be given for early returns during federal holiday periods.
We recommend clients provide two sets of keys to Brooklyn Cat Sitting at the time of their new client consultation—one set for the sitter and the other kept securely in our office for emergency purposes We recommend that keep your keys on file with us for future services. If you prefer for your keys to be dropped off after completion of services, there will be a $10 key drop-off fee. We cannot pick up or leave a key under your mat or hidden outside your residence.
If your pet requires medical attention during your absence, we will make every effort to notify you before approving veterinary care. If we are unable to be reach you, your emergency contact will be notified. You are fully responsible for payment and/or reimbursement for veterinary services upon your return.
