(she/her)

I grew up in West Virginia, where my family still has a farm, and volunteered for the Humane Society as soon as I turned 15. I really love cats and have cared for cats daily for over 3 decades. My senior cat Ladyfriend has been my constant companion for 16 years and is still stalking the laser pointer, making biscuits, and demanding pets despite having a few health issues. In a purrrfect world I would adopt all of the cats, but my apartment is small and she is territorial, so cat sitting is an excellent match for my skills and inclination.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from Oberlin College and continue my education by attending art events around the city whenever I have the chance. I moved to NYC to study jewelry design nearly 14 years ago.

I have had various work experiences, including bench jeweler, photographer and audio-visual technician. I volunteer at Greenwood cemetery as a way finder for special events and at Oko Farms, NYC’s only Aquaponics facility. My other interests include hiking, camping, winter sports, collecting rare books (especially art books), and, of course, cats!
